They are made from timber mosaic so each rosette actually contains\r\nthousands of individual pieces of coloured timber, which come together to form\r\nthe pattern. Inlaying a rosette is one of the easiest ways to add tasteful\r\nembellishment to a guitar. In the past luthiers had to make mosaic rosettes\r\nfrom scratch in a lengthy process. These readymade rosettes are an easy way to\r\nget the same effect in a fraction of the time. A circular trench should be cut\r\ninto the guitar top to accept the rosette. The best way to cut this is using a\r\nrotary tool with our Soundhole\/Rosette jig and a Downcut router bit. Always\r\nwait to receive a rosette before routing the trench in order to get the size\r\nmore accurate.
