This chip has a precise 25 MHz quartz reference as well as an
internal PLL and divider, so it can produce almost any frequency from <8 kHz
up to 150+ MHz. The Si5351A clock generator is an I2C controller clock
generator. It uses the built-in precision clock to control multiple PLLs and
clock dividers using I2C instructions. By setting up the PLL and dividers, you
can create precise and arbitrary frequencies. There are three independent
outputs, each of which can have a different frequency. The outputs are 3 Vss,
either via a breadboard-friendly header or, for RF work, via an optional SMA
port. We put this handy little chip on its own breakout board board, with a
3.3V LDO regulator, so it can be operated from 3-5VDC. We also have a level
shifting circuit attached to the I2C lines so you can safely use this chip
with 3V or 5V logic. And best of all, we even have a great tutorial and
library to get you started! Our code is designed for use with the Arduino
microcontroller and IDE, but easily ports to your preferred platform with I2C
support Package includes: 1 x SSi5351A I2C generator clock breakout board

Product Features

It can generate almost any frequency, from <8KHz to 150+ MHz.

This chip has a precise 25 MHz quartz reference as well as internal PLL and dividers.

The Si5351 is a configurable I2C clock generator ideal for replacing quartz, crystal oscillators, VCXOs, phase locked loops (PLLs) and fanout buffers in cost-critical applications.

The outputs are 3 Vss, either via a breadboard-friendly header or, for RF work, via an optional SMA port.

We offer the declaration of conformity.
