After\nmaking sure you have gotten rid of any water sitting in the valves, lay your\nhorn on clean towel to dry. Wipe down any surface water with a clean\ncloth.Wait a few hours then tip your horn out again to remove any water that\nhas settled.Grease all slides. Put a small drop of slide grease on both legs\nof the slide and spread it around evenly with your fingertip. Reassembling the\nFrench horn (2) Lubricate the rotors. Holding the horn upright with empty\nslide legs pointing up, drop one or two drops straight down into the tube, and\nthen move the valve back and forth.
