Gobe 40.5mm ND2-400 Variable ND Lens Filter (2Peak)
Gobe 40.5mm ND2-400 Variable ND Lens Filter (2Peak)
The Gobe Variable ND2-400 2Peak filter can be rotated from ND2 (1 f-stop) to ND400 (8.66 f-stops) giving you great versatility in changing light. Top benefits Enormous creative possibilities Great low-light versatility. Eliminates overly bright & washed-out images. Enables slow shutter speeds to record movement in subjects and allows a wider aperture to achieve a decreased depth of field. 24-layer nano-coating Premium nano-coating providing superb antireflection capabilities, scratch resistance and exceptional protection from water, dust, rain, and dirt. Great for video and landscape photography Whether you’re capturing video, landscapes, portraits or long exposures, our Variable2-400 offers great depth of field, motion blur and shutter speed options in variable light conditions. Considerations Lens caps To use a lens cap or stack filters on top of your Variable ND, you’ll need to step up one filter size. Wide-angle lenses For wide-angle lenses, the Variable ND2-400 has limited application because of the broad field-of-view. The filter can only be rotated about halfway along the Min to Max range without encountering an x-pattern – you can thank physics for this restriction. We recommend using Fixed ND filters, or Variable ND2-32 or ND8-128 with wide- angle lenses. Telephoto lenses For telephoto lenses, we also recommend using a Variable ND2-32 3Peak or Variable ND8-128 3Peak to achieve the best results for your images.
