Scaregull - Strap Fixing
Scaregull - Strap Fixing
p>Seagulls are creatures of habit. Once they have spent time on your boat (and made a mess of it!) they return again and again. Clean your boat and install a Scaregull and you will find that its rotating action deters the seagulls from landing all day, every day (and night). The gulls find a new home and never return. On a larger boat you may need additional Scaregulls to be completely Gull Free. Scaregull and its mounting pin should always be removed and stored before you go sailing. Scaregull comes complete with a Deck Mounting Block. Additional Fixing kits are available separately for adapting the Scaregull to fit your boat. Fitting a Scaregull. The Mounting Block (included) needs to be on a horizontal surface. If your deck is on a slope you can use our Variable Angle Bracket . The Strap Fixing threads through the Mounting Block enabling it to be secured around a furled sail, on top of a canvas hood or bimini or on a curved roof. The Soft Canvas Fitting enables the Scaregull to be installed without drilling holes in your boat ! The U Bolt is a permanent fixing for rails up to 25mm (1”). The Detachable Rail Fixing is for rails up to 25mm (1”). The Retaining Kit has been produced for those situations where the Scaregull might fall off because the boat rocks excessively. For example wind over tide, mud berth or gale force winds over 30 mph. The 300mm (12”) mounting pin allows the Scaregull to be raised to clear obstructions such as hand rails. The Windscreen Bracket allows the Scaregull to be fitted to a Speed Boat with a traditional sloping windscreen and blue canopy cover. The bracket can easily be bent to the angle required. All Scaregull Additional Fixing Kits and Spare Parts are available from Amazon.
